Saltcoats Vics 3–1 Muirkirk — SJFA West Region Ayrshire District League, 30 Apr 2012

This was once again a game of 2 halves with the wind , in the first half Saltcoats contained Murkirk well restricting them to shots from distance, although in 31mins they got a penalty when the ball was ajudged to hit Sean Forde in the hand and they went 1-0 up. Saltcoats did have there chances in the first half the best of which Sean Quinn hit the bar with early on. In the second half it was a different story when with the wind it became all Saltcoats and on 50min they made it 1-1 when Martin Gibb scored with a volley when the ball came to him 6 yards out at the back post. with there one rare breaks up the park Muirkirk got a second penalty on the hour mark and it was well saved by Lamb in the Saltcoats goal. on 82mins Saltcoats took the lead when a throw in from Forde was met by Dougie Elles to make it 2-1 and it was followed shortly afterwards by number 3 when  Paul Monan got the goal his perfomance deserved. A good all round team performance and a good win to go with it.
