Benburb FC 2–2 Saltcoats Vics — Friendly, 28 Jul 2012

first half was played in a competitinve manner with both sides going forward at every opertuinity, bens took the lead on 35 min against the run of play and although it took 4 shots to score after Lundie saved, Holden kicked off the line. Saltcoats made 1-1 5 mins later when McLelland fired over a great ball for Jordan Stewart to head in at the back post, just on half time Sean Forde caught his studs in the grass and was forced to come off. H-T 1-1.

The second half startad with Ally Patrick coming on for Sean Forde, and it took only 5 mins for Benburb to retake the lead after springing the offside trap to make it 2-1. With the usual melly of subs coming on in the second half it was stop start but both sides had thier chances, Benburb were awarded a penalty on 85mins when they played the ball on to Raymond Milligan who had no chance of getting his arm out the way but justice was done when Ross Lundie dived to his right and turned the ball round the post, more or less from the corner Saltcoats went up the park and got a free kick just outside the box which Ally Patrick dispatch to the back of the net goal keeper with it. although this was a weekened Bens side Saltcoats performed well and deserved the draw.
