Saltcoats Vics 1–0 Dalry Thistle — SJFA West Region Ayrshire District League, 25 Aug 2012

Saltcoats went in at half time one up thanks to Ian Reid on the stroke of half time, after a half that was pretty much even with both teams trying hard to make the break through. Joe Young was playing good football down the right, and  Slaven and McLelland playing well in the defence. Reid scored after good work from Young crossed and Reid tapped home HALF-TIME SALTCOATS 1 DALRY 0

The second half was played in a down pour and credit must go to both teams for an entertaining game, the defence of McLelland and Slaven never looked in any bother and at the other end Reid and Young were giving the Dalry defence nightmares, and with Frye controling the mid-field Saltcoats looked comfortable, but the second goal just would'nt come, but at the end of the day a good result and Saltcoats off and running.
