East Kilbride 0–1 Saltcoats Vics — West of Scotland Cup (SJFA West Region), 6 Oct 2012

Saltcoats started well against a very heavy pitch, and a determined East Kilbride team but the longer the half went East Kilbride came on to there game and Ross Lundy was called upon 3 times to save Saltcoats, in the last 10 mins of the half Saltcoats came back into it and went close after good work by Frye and Slaven but the keeper did well at his near post to make the half time score Eastr Kilbride 0 Saltcoats 0

The second half started much as the first with Saltcoats on the front foot, and were rewarded on 55mins when Colin Frye put it on a plate for Joe Young to side foot it by the keeper to put the seasiders in front. Shortly afterwards Young returned the favour for Frye but he shot tamely at the keeper. Saltcoats had numerous chances to extend there lead but to no avail, and at the same time Mick Holden was making sure East Kilbride did not get a sniff at goal. it must be said most of the team deserved man of the match points today but they went to Mick Holden 3, Ross Lundy 2, Joe Young 1
