Girvan 0–2 Saltcoats Vics — SJFA West Region Ayrshire District League, 3 Nov 2012

Saltcoats started the game well pressing Girvan back and were rewarded on 7mins when Young stole the ball from the full back and slid it to Milligan who's goal bound shot was tapped in at the back post by Monan, after that Saltcoats kept up the pressure and were rewarded 4mins later when Seymour was brought down on the edge of the area and up stepped Patrick for his trade mark freekick 2-0.

Girvan were restricted to long range efforts as McLelland, Patrick and Holden were doing a stern job at the back,Young had an effort go close on 35mins but it remained Girvan 0 Saltcoats 2.

Saltcoats made a half time sub taking Slaven off and bringing on Faulds as a precaution, for most of the second half Saltcoats were content to defend thier lead and to be honest Girvan never really threatened the Saltcoats goal, the one real chance of the half fell to Saltcoats when Quinn was through 1 on 1 with the keeper but the keeper won when he dived at his feet and smothered the ball. Saltcoats made late subs bringing on Stewart for Quinn on 85 and Hands on for Frye on 88 and played the game out.
