Saltcoats Vics 0–2 Darvel — SJFA West Region Ayrshire District League, 10 Nov 2012

Saltcoats had a bad day at the office in this one, a game they just did not get into but that was as much to do with a well drilled Darvel side as it was to do with Saltcoats lack of commitment. the fact that Saltcoats only had one direct shot on goal in 90mins says a lot.

Darvel scored a goal in each half the first was a scramble around the goal which was knocked in at the forth attempt after Lundy had saved twice and Milligan cleared off the line and the second was e free header after a good cross from the right.

Saltcoats did have a few half chance through Young and Stewart but few of any real quality and the longer the game went the more frustrating it became, Saltcoats played Keiran McDermot as a trialist in the second half he he performed well and looked like he could be a good addition but that is down to the management. At the end of the day all you can really say was it was a bad day at the office and the team will need to put it behind themselves quickly if they are to have any chance of progress next week at Benburb in the Scottish.
