Saltcoats Vics 1–2 Kilwinning Rangers — SJFA West Region Ayrshire District League, 8 Dec 2012

Saltcoats and Kilwinning again played out a tight game with Kilwinning coming out narrow victors. The first half was a tight affair with Saltcoats having thier fair share of chances with Mclelland , Young and Monan all going close, and at the same time Lundy was once again having an inspired game against his old team. All the goals in this one came in the second half with The Buffs opening the scoring in the 55th min through Mitchell only for Saltcoats to bring it back level 8mins later when McLelland scored with probably his hardest effort of the day when he took his shot early and fired it beyond the keeper. Late in the game Ferris was dismissed for a second bookable offence and the Buffs made the extra man count to score late on and seal another 3 point. On the balance of play Saltcoats deserved at least a point and may well have got one if the ref had been a little stronger.

Saltcoats started this game with 2 players Easdon and Davison as trialists.
