Saltcoats Vics 2–2 Girvan — SJFA West Region Ayrshire District League, 26 Jan 2013

This game was played in a bitter cold wind on a typical winter day, and credit must go to both teams for trying to play football, Saltcoats got off to the better start and took the lead in 5mins through Mark Ferris, the rest of the half was a tight affair played near totallly on the left side of the park with neother side really coming close. the second half was only minuets old when Mitchell beat the offside trap and chipped the outrushing Lundy to make it 1-1. they were then to take the lead mid-way through the half when Mitchell again scored when he got a free header from a corner kick. Que the super sub David Graham coming on for Mark Ferris and Saltcoats went up the park and were awarded a penalty when Young was brought down inside the box, up stepped Mick Holden to take the penalty which was palmed away by the keeper but Graham was first to react to fire his first goal for Saltcoats and an equalizer on the day. Saltcoats did have the ball over the line in thier next move butr the kepper clawed the ball back out and the ref clained not to have seen it. final score SALTCOATS 2 GIRVAN 2
