Written by keanoOnce again a game of 2 halves, this time the first half was the better display and the second due to Frye being ordered off was difficult.
The first half there was not much between the teams although Kilwinning had the bulk of the pressure and it paid off in cruel fashion when on 12mins Lundy was beaten by an own goal from Paul Ferris when he was unlucky to deflect a Buffs free kick into his own net, on 22mins Davidson was unfortunate with a header from a corner, and young Lee Havin was unlucky on 33mins when after good work by McClelland he turn the defender and shot just wide. Then it was Lundy's turn to be the hero again with a fine save on 35mins to add to a good save early on. H-T 0-1
The second half was only 5mins old when Kilwinnig made it 2-0 after good work on the left was turned in at the back post, then came the games turning point when Frye was sent packing for a dangerous tackle which he recieved a yellow then spoke back to the ref and recieved a second yellow to make a red and being upset then recieved a second red for swearing at the ref. Just 2 mins after that Jordan Stewart had to be helped from the field with an ankle knock to be replaced by Scott Knight who played up front with McLelland falling back, Kilwinning took full advantage of the extra man and further goals in the 75th, 82nd and 88th mins were to make the result Saltcoats 0 Kilwinning 5, 5 goals was sore especially for Lundy in goal who played well and his defence, and young Lee Havlin put a lot into the game on the wing.
