Kello rovers 2–1 Saltcoats Vics — SJFA West Region Ayrshire District League, 9 Nov 2013

Saltcoats huffed and puffed in this game but no matter what they couldn't blow down a resolute Kello defence, every shot they had of which there were many Kello had at least 2 men in front of it and when they didn't, they were aided by the crossbar or post.

In the first half Saltcoats controlled the middle of the park with Patterson and Davidson having a particularly good game helped out by Stewart and Forde pushing forward, the goal when it did come in the 38th min was a good ball out to Santos from Patterson and the winger done the rest when he drew Lopez in the Kello goal and slotted home.

In the second half Kello came a little more into the game, although it must be said Saltcoats still had a good share of pressure, with McLelland hitting the post from a corner then Patrick shaking the crossbar with the next corner, on the hour mark Kello were awarded a penalty after Hercus was adjudged to have brought down the Kello forward, and it was tucked away by Gall to make it 1-1, Saltcoats continued to pressure the Kello goal to no avail and with 6mins to go were caught with the sucker punch when a long clearance was missjudged by the defence and Jardine nipped in the round Catterson and score before clattering the post, 2-1 Kello.
