Saltcoats Vics 0–3 Darvel Juniors — Ayrshire League Cup, 23 Aug 2014

Report by keano

Saltcoats lost thier final Ardagh cup game 3-0 to Darvel in a game where they looked very lack luster, and with a few of the more experienced players missing and Hercus coming off after only 10mins they just never got going.

Young Kevin Ingram in goal deserves a mention as he came in for the in-form Catterson and performed well, as did Zack Hood in defence and Chris Black up front. Darvel started the game quickly and scored in the first minuet through Jordan Ryan and again from the penalty spot form Gordon Wilson just before half time. In the second half they added a third from Donald White to kill off any hope Saltcoats had of a come back.

This game showed Saltcoats week points and they will have to be worked on before Annbank come calling next week.
