Written by keanoSaltcoats score 4 and in the end run out easy winners, and to make things more pleasing the goals all came from the forward players as well as an own goal.
The game was only 2mins old when Adam Easdon committed a foul on Luke Crerand and had it not only began could have been sent packing, but ref Hardie gave him a talking to and carry on much to the annoyance of the home support, from the resulting free kick Boyle had Catterson diving to cover his post as he went close. And only 2mins later Catterson was again called upon this time to dive to his right and flick a Crerand goal bound shot onto the bar. Saltcoats seemed to waken up and come more into the game after that and Quinn was first to have a go but his week shot was easily saved by Hewitt in the Dalry goal and on 11mins Black then went close with a header from a Monan corner. Dalry were giving as good as they were getting in the early stages and Connor Guinea shaved the post with a free kick on the quarter of an hour, only minuets later Saltcoats were to take the lead when Quinn fired home from 10yards after Black had a good effort parried by Halliday, and as it came out to Quinn he made no mistake 1-0 Saltcoats. Back came Dalry and Catterson again Saved the seasiders when Jamie Boyle's downward headed was held on the line by Catterson much to the disagreement of the home fans. As the game was opening up it was Saltcoats that were next to attack when Paul Monan charged down a back pass to Halliday but the keeper recovered to put the ball out for a corner from which Calum Hercus went close. From the very next attack Mark Archdeacon had Dalry level after Ross Loughlin split the defence with a great pass Archdecon's pace took him in and he every so cooly chipped the ball over the out-rushing Catterson 1-1, much to the dispair of the home fans the teams were only level for a matter of minuets before Jamie Davidson had the Vics back in front, when he fired home from 8yds after Monan put it on a plate for him after some great work on the wing. Dalry did have a chance before the break to even things up again but Loughlin's free kick went just wide. HT Dalry 1 Saltcoats 2
The second half started they way the first had ended with the game going from end to end, and Boyle again went close with a shot from the edge of the area, and with thier first attack of the second half Saltcoats increased thier lead when Chris Black picked the ball up just over the half way line and as the Dalry rear guard retreated he kept going and before they could even put a tackle in he had left them for dead and slipped the ball passed Hewitt for his first Saltcoats goal, and even the Shoppers in Dockhead street never mind Dalry Cross could have heard the celebration. That goal gave Black all the confidence he required and anytime after that he had the confidence to go at the Dalry rear guard and was again to go close on the hour mark. Saltcoats were not having it all thier own way and Dalry came charging back and Catterson had to look alert as he saved at the feet of Ryan Singleton, and had to cover a long range shot from Tolland, at the other end the ever alert Russell was causing the defence problems anytime he picked the ball up. Saltcoats brought on Ferris for Davidson and the veteran midfeilder played in McNulty with 10 mins to go and the youngster went close, but Saltcoats weren't finished and when James Moan played in a telling cross with only 5mins remaining Tolland turned the ball into his own net ahead of the on rushing Quinn to make the final score
