Irvine Meadow 1–0 Saltcoats Vics — Ayrshire League Cup, 12 Aug 2009

A fine performance by the Seasiders had Irvine Meadow fighting at the end to hang on to their slender 1 goal lead.  Having had a 34th. min. penalty saved by the Saltcoats keeper Irvine Meadow had to wait until the final minute of the first half before going ahead ,the ball going in off the back of the legs of a Saltcoats defender. As the second half wore on Saltcoats Vics started to press for an equaliser but the ball just wouldn't fall kindly for the Vics' forwards. When the final whistle went it was Saltcoats who were complaing about a lack of injury time !
