Saltcoats Victoria FC are pleased to announce that Colin Lundy has joined the club’s committee as Assistant Club / Match Secretary.
The appointment follows our recent AGM update, where we confirmed that we were looking to continue strengthening the team working behind the scenes at Campbell Park.
Colin will work alongside Club / Match Secretary Peter McBlain, becoming more involved in the day-to-day running of the club while learning more about the administrative side of the game.
Having already been involved with Saltcoats Victoria for a number of years through Social Media and Digital Communications, Colin is a familiar face behind much of the club’s online presence. He will continue in that role alongside his new committee responsibilities.
The move also gives Colin the opportunity to bring fresh ideas, insights and digital skills to the committee as we continue looking at ways to modernise how the club operates behind the scenes.
His connection with Saltcoats Victoria has also grown beyond his own involvement with the club. Since joining the Vics, Colin has discovered a family connection through his father-in-law and his father, who was previously involved in the running and management of the club.
Speaking about joining the committee, Colin said:
“I’ve been involved with the club for a few years now through the social media and digital side, but I wanted to become more involved and learn more about what goes on behind the scenes.
“It’s an opportunity for me to learn new things while hopefully bringing some of my own skills and fresh ideas to the committee, particularly as we continue trying to modernise different areas of the club.
“The more involved I’ve become, the more connected I’ve felt to Saltcoats Victoria. Finding out about the family connection with the club made that even more special.
“I’m looking forward to getting started and helping wherever I can – whether that’s assisting with club business, running the social media or even doing a shift in the kitchen serving the pies and Bovril!”
Colin’s appointment is another step in strengthening the group of people working behind the scenes as we continue to build for the future of Saltcoats Victoria FC.
There is a great deal of work taking place throughout the club, both on and off the park, and we remain keen to involve people who can bring new ideas, skills and enthusiasm to Campbell Park.
Our Club. Our Town.
