Stevie Wilson Retains Core of Squad Ahead of 2026/27 Campaign

Saltcoats Victoria FC can today provide a squad update as preparations continue for the 2026/27 season and our long-awaited return to Campbell Park.

Manager Stevie Wilson has moved quickly to retain the core of last season's squad, securing the commitment of a number of key players ahead of the new campaign.

The following players have re-signed for the 2026/27 season:

  • Calum Robertson
  • Ross Agnew
  • Ryan Ritchie
  • Andrew McIntyre
  • Mark Beveridge
  • Reiss Love
  • Jamie Stirling
  • Brian McCullough
  • Cameron McIntyre
  • Aaron Robertson
  • Finlay Smith
  • Jack Hanlon
  • Rian Eaglesham
  • Rudi Johnston
  • Euan Anderson
  • Jack Cousar
  • David Sawyers
  • Lewis Donachy

The retained group provides a strong foundation for the season ahead, combining experience, quality and commitment as the club continues to build both on and off the park.

At the same time, the club can confirm that several players will be moving on from Saltcoats Victoria.

Departing the club are:

  • Aaron Tait
  • Adam Love
  • Aaron Hussey

In addition, Craig Breen and Adam Kamara have joined Saltcoats Victoria Amateurs, and everyone at the club is delighted that they will remain part of the wider Vics family.

A special mention must go to Aaron Tait, who departs after more than five years of service to Saltcoats Victoria FC.

During his time at the club, Aaron not only gave everything on the pitch but also proudly captained the side, demonstrating leadership, commitment and passion throughout his spell in maroon and amber. He has been a hugely respected figure within the dressing room and someone who represented the club with pride every time he pulled on the shirt.

Manager Stevie Wilson paid tribute to both the players staying and those moving on.

"We're delighted to have retained such a large part of the squad. These players have shown great commitment to the club and have bought into what we're trying to build here at Saltcoats Victoria."

"Keeping this group together gives us continuity going into a very important season. The players know the standards we expect, they know each other well, and there's a real togetherness within the squad."

"I'd also like to thank every player who is moving on. Aaron, Adam, Aaron, Craig and Adam have all played their part during their time at the club and have been a credit to themselves. On behalf of everyone at Saltcoats Victoria, I'd like to thank them for their hard work, commitment and contribution."

"We wish them every success in the future, and the door will always remain open. Once a Vic, always a Vic."

Everyone at Saltcoats Victoria FC would like to thank our departing players for their efforts, dedication and the memories they have helped create during their time with the club.

As one chapter closes and another begins, preparations continue behind the scenes, with further squad announcements expected in the coming weeks.
